Chocolate Peanut Butter Granola Recipe

Sunday evening I concocted this recipe, & it’s so good! Give it a try — you won’t be disappointed!

Earlier in the afternoon, I had been to the local grocery store and saw a variety of pre-packaged granola flavours offered for sale, which inspired me to come home and whip this up in minutes, at a fraction of the cost!

When it comes to creating something like this, you may use as little, or as much, as you prefer. I will include approximate measurements in a large size, which can be easily halved if you don’t require as much.

I baked my large quantity in a roasting pan, uncovered.

Let’s get started

Preheat oven to 350

Place your ingredients directly into your baking pan, and stir as you go along — saving yourself from having to wash a separate bowl or sauce pan! (You’re welcome!)

8 Cups, Organic oats,
3/4 Cup Pure Maple Syrup,
1 Cup Cocoa Powder,
1 Cup Raw Organic Sunflower Seeds (hulled, no shells!)
1/2 – 1 Cup Organic Peanut Butter, or nut butter of choice!
1-2 Cups Coconut Flakes,
1/2 – 1 Cup Ground Flax Meal,
1/2 – 1 Tablespoon Sea Salt,

1 Tablespoon Cinnamon Powder (optional)
1-1.5 Cups Organic Coconut Oil — or good quality Olive, or Avocado
Stir as best as you can, then place into the hot oven for a few minutes to melt the coconut oil and soften the nut butter, making it easier to mix.
Stir every 5-10 minutes, keeping on eye on how quickly it is browning, as oven temperatures and baking times can vary!!
Add raisins, dried cranberries, extra nuts, dark chocolate nibs — whatever you like — after baking! Enjoy 💕
